In 2011, the Feather’s going to re-open for salmon on July 16. After total closures for a couple seasons, followed by a limited season in 2010, we’re back in business here and all signs point to a much-improved king salmon fishery this year!
Salmon fishing will take place here from the mid-July opener into December, with the bulk of the fish coming in the July-August-September-October time period.
We also chase striped bass here, which typically show sometime in late March and pursue them into June. Shad come in in big numbers in the spring and they can be caught April-July.
