So many clients who’ve been to the Klamath with me for it’s epic salmon and steelhead fishing have often pondered why they ever spent the money to go all the way to Alaska when the Klamath is right here in Northern California! Yep, the fishing is that good and the scenery is amazing too!
We fish the lower river out of the jet sled in late summer for summer-run steelhead and continue into September as the kings move into the system. As the fish push upstream, so do we and October can be an amazing month fishing in the canyons out of the drift boat!
